Bill Raggio, CEO, Rayotek Scientific
Bill Raggio, a native Californian, has lived in San Diego since 1972. He studied
math and physics at UCSD, during which time he became involved with diving
and Oceanographic studies at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. After 7 years
of Semiconductor engineering work at Unisys Corporation Bill secured a research
position at General Atomics, a prestigious research and engineering firm in
San Diego. In 1992 Bill left General Atomics to found Rayotek Scientific, Inc, an
engineering company specializing in high tech glass and sapphire applications,
including high pressure and deep sea systems.
Outside of creative adventures at Rayotek, Bill has been involved in mountaineering,
Hang gliding, diving, Tai Chi, biking and exploration of ancient ruins throughout the
world, often with his wife and 2 children.
